Micaela S. Benn is a mother, independent children’s book author, and marketing coach located in Atlanta, Georgia.

In 2020, at the height of political and social unrest in the United States, Ms. Benn pivoted into self-publishing to promote diversity in children’s literature. She began writing a series of children’s books that June, and started a consulting agency in August, Children’s Book Marketing Company. Then in October, she launched The Children's Book Marketing Podcast to teach independent authors in the genre on how to take control of the marketing, production, distribution, and profitability of their books.

Through the series of Little Mr. Fix It Books, Ms. Benn highlights the importance of fostering inclusivity within households for children to grow with confidence and positive self-esteem. The series also centers on relationship dynamics between family members, and provides enrichment resources to support early childhood education.
